Apigee Architect with Solr Tuning experience - Plano, TX & Chicago, IL

About the position

The Apigee Architect with Solr Tuning experience is responsible for optimizing API management and Solr collections to ensure high performance and responsiveness. This role involves working with Apigee and Solr technologies to enhance the platform's capabilities and maintain sub-second response times for APIs. The position requires a blend of architectural knowledge and hands-on experience in scripting and automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in Apigee architecture and configurations to support platform growth.
• Assist in setting up Apigee Custom Roles and managing Apigee management APIs.
• Utilize Ansible Tower and Jenkins for automation scripting.
• Optimize Solr collections for new APIs to maintain sub-second response times.
• Tune existing Solr collections to improve performance and reduce intermittent long response times.
• Develop Java-based APIs using Spring Boot, STS, Swagger UI, and GitHub.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of ApigeeEdge Admin and Apigee Architect concepts.
• Experience with Apigee management APIs and custom roles setup.
• Proficiency in scripting with Ansible Tower and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Edge Microgateway, including reporting and plugins.
• Java development experience, particularly with SOAP and REST web services.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, STS, Swagger UI, and GitHub.
• Expertise in Solr tuning and optimization.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Apache Solr and its tuning capabilities.
• Familiarity with Faceted APIs and their optimization.
