About the position

We are seeking an experienced Onshore APIGEE Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team in Atlanta. As an APIGEE Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining API solutions using the Apigee platform. This role requires a collaborative approach, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable API solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our API integrations are robust, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. In this position, you will design and develop API solutions using the Apigee Edge platform to meet specific business requirements. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and developers to understand API integration needs and design appropriate solutions. Implementing API security measures, including authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols, will be a key responsibility. You will also develop API policies and proxy services for data transformation, routing, and rate limiting, ensuring that our APIs are not only functional but also secure and efficient. Your role will involve integrating APIs with various backend systems, databases, and third-party applications, ensuring high performance and availability of APIs by conducting performance testing and optimizing API implementations. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to API integrations, performance, and security will be part of your daily tasks. You will work closely with DevOps teams to deploy, monitor, and support API implementations, documenting API designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing. Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in API management and integration will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop API solutions using Apigee Edge platform to meet business requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 to 5 years of proven experience as an APIGEE Integration Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Apigee Edge platform, including API development, policy management, and security implementation.
• In-depth understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Experience integrating APIs with various backend systems, databases, and third-party applications.
• Solid understanding of API security standards, including OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex integration issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
