About the position

The Senior Level Application Developer role is designed for an experienced professional who will lead and manage a scrum team in the development organization. This position involves overseeing software development activities, designing and debugging software solutions, and ensuring adherence to software standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, experience in team leadership, and the ability to evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance processes and meet mission needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor tasks at the leadership and team management level.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate agile software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software solutions for critical mission issues.
• Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Develop software based on knowledge of computer hardware, software, and information processing techniques.
• Correct program errors and compile documentation of program development.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent and output requirements.
• Ensure software standards are defined and met.

Requirements

• Master's Degree with 12 years of experience, Bachelor's Degree with 14 years, Associate's with 15 years, or HS Diploma with 18 years of experience.
• Experience working with a Scrum Master or Project Coordinator.
• Java development experience.
• Ability to work with XML.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proven experience in COTS/FOSS integration and support.
• Experience with multiple operating system environments including LINUX and Windows.
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance and counterintelligence polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

• Large scale software development experience: develop/modify/troubleshoot JAVA code.
• Familiarity with COTS Integration.
• Agile development experience.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) using VersionOne, Angular, DOJO, Oracle Weblogic, Tomcat, Oracle DBMS, Postgres DBMS, SQL, PL/SQL.
• Experience with HTML, Selenium, JavaScript, EJB, Webservices.
• Microservices leveraging Docker & Kubernetes, REST, XML, UML, Eclipse or Netbeans.
• Experience with Continuous Integration Pipeline build concepts leveraging: Docker, Git / JIRA, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Conductor, Kafka/Zookeeper, Consul, CMDB.
• Big data technologies including Data Ingest (JSON, Kafka, Microservices, Elastic Search), Analytics (HIVE, SPARK, R, PIG, OOZIE workflows), Elasticsearch, Hadoop (HIVE data, OOZIE, Spark, PIG, IMPALA, HUE), COTS Integration (Knowi, MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL RDS, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Zookeeper, Consul, HADOOP/HDFS).
• CISSP Certification.
