The position involves assisting with the analysis of user operations and/or problems and developing system requirements consistent with business needs. The role requires analyzing and assessing existing business systems and procedures, working with stakeholders to plan requirements and specifications for the conversion and acceptance of new or modified solutions. The candidate will formulate a plan outlining the steps required to develop a program using structured analysis and design, and submit these plans for approval. The successful candidate will translate system requirements into a logical, economical, and technically practical system design. They will assist with preliminary system design documents and detailed design specifications, including layouts, required procedures, and report designs. The role also involves designing, deploying, testing, and monitoring new business process solutions, troubleshooting and debugging system errors, and using clear communication to work effectively with team members and customers across multiple disciplines. Additionally, the candidate will assist users in solving operating problems, administer critical analysis of test results, and deliver solutions to problem areas. The position requires developing and maintaining user manuals and guidelines, designing, running, and monitoring software performance tests on new and existing programs to correct errors, isolate areas for improvement, and general debugging. The candidate will act as a project manager on small or intermediate system projects, assuming responsibility for the development, accuracy, and completeness of the project. Keeping up to date with industry trends and standards, as well as new emerging technologies, is essential. The candidate should have the ability to interface and provide initial orientation of technical concepts to business audiences and train end users to operate new or modified programs.
