About the position

The App Support Analyst I at Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to users experiencing complex computer-related issues across various applications. This role serves as a liaison between IT and other departments, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution. The analyst will also assist in building reports, analyzing incident reports, and testing new applications to enhance user experience and system functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an escalation point of contact for IT staff assisting users with complex computer-related problems.
  • Handle unresolved trouble calls from other support personnel.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between IT and other departments, vendors, or outside agencies to resolve problems on assigned systems.
  • Assist end users with questions and problems on assigned systems to ensure accurate information and system usage.
  • Assist in building reports or workflows as needed.
  • Analyze and evaluate incident reports and recommend solutions to reduce recurrence of problems.
  • Consult with developers or software vendors to explain software errors or recommend changes.
  • Determine requirements for new or modified applications by conferring with staff, users, vendors, and department managers.
  • Test new applications for usability and proper function.
  • Revise, analyze, and modify existing applications to fulfill business needs, which may involve coding or scripting.
  • Support the administration of business applications and assist in implementing new systems or changes to existing systems.
  • Meet assigned project deadlines and goals while maintaining system support expectations.
  • Ensure availability of user-friendly documentation on SCCU software applications to minimize user difficulties.
  • Create documentation as needed and provide after-hours on-call support for critical production systems.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of computing and application support experience or a combination of applicable experience, education, and training.
  • Associate's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent specialized training in a recognized technical program or vocational school.
