About the position

The Apparel Product Designer will be responsible for creating innovative apparel solutions and developing tech packs for design partners and cross-functional teams. This role requires exceptional design skills and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Create original, innovative concepts and designs that align with client needs and applications.
  • Work autonomously on designs, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Create cohesive collections that reflect the brand's vision.
  • Execute all product details including construction, color, form, style, fit performance, graphic application, and trim.
  • Communicate changes effectively to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Utilize design support effectively to enhance product outcomes.
  • Maintain healthy cross-functional relationships and build matrix relationships outside of the immediate team.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and proactively enhance business acumen.

Requirements

  • Expertise in process and product finishing across categories and design functions.
  • Lead design product processes for assigned categories or product groups, ensuring feasibility of designs and meeting price points.
  • Demonstrate expert understanding of products, product lines, and the product development process.
  • Ability to tell compelling stories around concepts or athletes that influence seasonal direction.
  • Demonstrate leadership that influences process change and best practices.
  • Assume a lead role in communicating and presenting creative strategies and consumer insights to various audiences.
  • Continuously advance product, process, and design skills as an expert design professional.
  • Stay updated on industry and technology developments within the product design profession.
  • Conduct consumer research and collaborate effectively in a business context.
  • Exhibit strategic thinking and visioning regarding product relevance and positioning.
