About the position
The Apparel Sales Outfitter is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support in a retail environment. This part-time role involves greeting customers, assisting with product knowledge, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The Sales Outfitter will also handle merchandise, restock shelves, and promote various store programs.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Demonstrate products to customers and provide information and assistance.
- Replenish product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
- Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales and maintain pricing and signing.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves and restock merchandise as required.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and associates.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system.
