About the position
The Appeals Representative position at Optum is a full-time role focused on processing and managing formal appeal responses to providers and clients. Responsibilities
- Processing and sending formal appeal responses to Providers/Clients.
- Assisting with entering outbound mail tracking numbers.
- Processing and sending Provider Packets when needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience.
- Must be 18 years of age OR older.
- 1+ years of data entry experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, call center, medical claims, etc.) using computers as the primary job tool.
- Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with health care, medical, or pharmacy terminology.
