About the position

The Appian Lead Developer with Java is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Appian applications, ensuring best practices are followed and performance is optimized. This role requires extensive experience in Appian development, integration with third-party systems, and team leadership. The developer will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and design efficient applications, while also mentoring junior developers and managing project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of Appian applications for multiple projects.
• Ensure adherence to Appian coding best practices and standards.
• Optimize performance parameters of Appian applications.
• Handle integration with third-party systems, including CRM and Salesforce.
• Independently manage projects and lead a team of Appian developers.
• Gather and analyze requirements for application design.
• Design and develop relational database schemas and SQL queries.
• Set up CI-CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Monitor and debug process model instances in Appian.
• Implement Appian capabilities such as Portals, IDP, and RPA integration.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Appian development experience with complete end-to-end implementation for 6+ projects.
• Overall IT experience of 12+ years in related technologies such as Java and BPM.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
• Appian Lead Certification and Level 2 ACAD Certification.
• Excellent knowledge of Appian coding best practices and standards.
• Experience in scripting, SQL, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience in setting up integrations from SaaS cloud to on-prem DB.
• Experience in requirement gathering and analysis.
• Agile team experience is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• DevOps experience will be an advantage.
• Payer healthcare domain knowledge experience is mandatory.
