About the position

We are looking for a skilled Appian UI Developer to join our agile development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, integration, customization, and support of Appian BPM applications. This role involves close collaboration with analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality Appian solutions. The Appian UI Developer will play a crucial role in breaking down complex requirements into workable technical solutions, ensuring the delivery of robust Appian applications that meet business needs. In this position, you will engage in hands-on development using the Appian BPM suite, which includes the creation of SAIL code, Records, Sites, Actions, Security, and other Appian Objects. You will utilize Appian technical documentation and community resources to build prototypes, code, configure, debug, and conduct unit and integration testing. Additionally, you will document application enhancements and contribute to the creation of user guides for new projects and enhancements. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing and revising existing system logic as needed, ensuring consistency, security, and privacy of data, while adhering to organizational standards and best practices in application development. As part of your role, you will work on end-to-end Appian BPM implementations, from design to deployment, and design BPM solutions for process simplification, case management, and role-based applications. You will develop features such as Tempo, Forums, SAIL, and Reports, and manage the Appian deployment process. Furthermore, you will provide root cause analysis for production issues and develop effective solutions, working independently on assigned tasks while coordinating with various teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Break down complex requirements into workable technical solutions to deliver robust Appian applications.

  • Provide root cause analysis for production issues and develop effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Appian UI development, configuration, and deployment.
  • Proficiency in Appian 18x/19x/20x and higher versions, with expertise in Tempo, Forums, SAIL, Plugin development, Smart Services, and Reports.
  • Strong understanding of BPM fundamentals, Appian architecture, and technical features.
  • Experience with business integration, human task management, and database design in Appian.
  • Capability to troubleshoot technical issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Appian deployments.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Appian Developer certification is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with additional BPM tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of integration with third-party services and database management systems.
  • Understanding of web application communication protocols such as SOAP, HTTP, and XML.
