About the position

The Apple Harvester position involves manual labor in agricultural settings, primarily focused on harvesting tree fruits such as apples, potatoes, pumpkins, and corn. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform various tasks efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards. Workers will be expected to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and must be available for the entire duration of the temporary employment period.

Responsibilities

• Harvest apples and other crops manually, ensuring minimal damage to the produce.
• Use ladders and motorized platforms to reach and pick fruit from trees.
• Follow supervisor instructions regarding color and size requirements for harvesting.
• Perform additional agricultural tasks such as planting, cultivating, and weeding as needed.
• Utilize hand tools like shovels, hoes, and knives for various farming activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and farm buildings.
• Assist in farm maintenance and repairs, including fence repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 months of agricultural experience in harvesting tree fruit manually.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Capability to perform manual tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Willingness to work on Saturdays and in various weather conditions.
