About the position

The Applications Analyst - Ambulatory Certified position involves installing new applications, upgrading existing applications, and providing go-live and rollout support. The analyst will support users on new applications, modules, and functionality, while evaluating operational workflows and creating system specifications from user requirements. This role requires strong client-facing and management skills, as well as the ability to configure application settings and workflows to provide an optimal user experience. The analyst will also be responsible for troubleshooting application issues, documenting outcomes of testing, and maintaining accurate documentation regarding the applications supported by the team.

Responsibilities

  • Installs new applications and upgrades existing applications.
  • Provides go-live and rollout support.
  • Supports users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
  • Evaluates operational workflows and creates system specifications from user requirements.
  • Configures application settings and workflows to provide optimal user experience.
  • Provides application troubleshooting support for the application(s).
  • Resolves issues, forwards them to the correct group for remediation, or elevates them to the vendor if required.
  • Assists with determining how a new system, upgrade, or new component can best meet the needs of the users.
  • Analyzes business/clinical needs and requirements.
  • Creates test plans and tests new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications.
  • Documents all outcomes of testing.
  • Designs database queries and creates reports utilizing a report-writing tool.
  • Monitors application issues and evaluates issues as they arise.
  • Writes and maintains accurate and current documentation regarding application(s) supported by the team.
  • Participates in the maintenance of training materials and disseminates materials to users.
  • Provides timely, effective, and professional customer support.
  • Works with the help desk and support personnel on escalated issues to identify problems and resolve them.
  • Triages network, hardware, or workstation issues as required.
  • Analyzes necessary application modifications and works with the appropriate client associate or the vendor to coordinate the modification.
  • Acts as a liaison to the vendor or the client.
  • Contacts vendor to report escalations and obtain assistance with solving issues.
  • Assists with the coordination of vendor activities including hardware or software installation.

Requirements

  • Application implementation, troubleshooting, and support experience.
  • Application testing experience.
  • Related clinical or business experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
