About the position

The Applications Analyst - Epic Radiant, Cadence position at UW Health is a full-time role within the Information Systems team, focusing on the electronic medical record (EMR) system. This position involves planning and leading projects, developing workflows, and providing consultative advice to leadership while ensuring effective application functionality. The role emphasizes collaboration with medical professionals to enhance patient care and requires strong communication and technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead projects related to Information Systems in the EMR system.
  • Lead the development of workflows, system configuration, change documentation, and support operations on application functionality.
  • Communicate effectively with users within the department and organization.
  • Understand technical infrastructure such as networking, data interfaces, and server administration.
  • Provide consultative Information Services advice to departmental and organizational leadership.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in design, development, configuration, support, and adoption of small to medium scale solutions.
  • Demonstrated success applying critical thinking to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success using, configuring, developing, or supporting relevant applications, tools, and platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Radiology experience, Epic Radiant or Epic Cadence experience preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years progressively responsible experience in an IS applications field preferred.
  • Experience in information services or technology, direct clinical care, health care operations, or health care administration preferred.
  • Healthcare subject matter expertise including at least two (2) years of experience in a health system, academic medical center, or health payer organization preferred.
  • Experience supporting systems and/or operations in a 24x7 healthcare setting preferred.
  • Vendor certifications (e.g. Epic, Oracle) as relevant for the position preferred.
  • CPHIMS, PMP, ITIL certifications preferred.
