About the position

The Application Analyst I is responsible for supporting the design, build, and maintenance of the designated application within RWJBarnabas Health. This role involves collaborating with application resources and management to optimize workflows, system configurations, and documentation. The analyst will also assist in end-user support, create and execute test scripts, and provide on-call support during and after the application go-live phase.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building the related application
• Working with Operations to optimize the design of the application's capabilities and workflows
• Utilizing external resources for best practice builds and solutions
• Participating in unit, application, and integrated testing for implementation, upgrade, and enhancement system functionality
• Building data fields, screens, templates, and customer-defined functionality as required
• Providing go-live support for customers on new applications
• Maintaining continued ticket communication with customers and logging decisions and issues/risks
• Recommending areas for process improvement and assisting with development of future state materials
• Developing test scripts for new systems, complying with version upgrades and system modifications

Requirements

• Associate's degree with 2 or more years of relevant work experience
• 0-2 years relevant experience in a health care setting
• Demonstrated interest in supporting the development and build of the application
• Able to perform with supervision
• Epic Grand Central certification required

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge and work experience with healthcare clinical or financial systems
• Knowledge of current clinical or financial system workflows and processes
