About the position

The Applications Analyst I at Monument Health is a pivotal role within the IT Innovation and Business Informatics department, located in Rapid City, SD. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to provide technical and organizational leadership for assigned applications. The primary responsibilities include analyzing problems and user requirements, programming and documenting solutions, and offering support to computer users throughout the organization. The Applications Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that IT systems are reliable and efficient, thereby enhancing the overall functionality of the organization’s applications. In this role, the Applications Analyst will document processes and activities to maintain highly reliable IT systems. This includes providing necessary elements to Call Tracking, Project Management, Change Management, and Disaster Recovery Services Guides. The analyst will also be responsible for providing support to the organization, division, and peers, which encompasses day-to-day peer-level support, emergent after-hours support, and any other support required to maintain system reliability. The position requires a proactive approach to analyzing, reviewing, monitoring, or modifying computer systems to ensure functionality, increase operating efficiency, and adapt to new requirements. The analyst will assess the needs and requirements of end-users to maximize application functionality, ensuring that it complements or improves end-user workflows. Coordination and communication with end-users, vendors, and other staff on application design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation are essential to ensure proper system configuration and alignment with defined business needs. Additionally, the Applications Analyst will develop or assist in the development of application-specific training curriculums and materials, providing training to staff as needed. Maintaining awareness of security policies and procedures is critical to ensure appropriate physical access, system access, and data integrity. The analyst will manage and coordinate activities associated with the development and implementation of computer/information systems, including new implementations and system updates. Timely response to software application problems and the development of testing tasks are also key responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities
