About the position

The Application Analyst II, Clinical Applications, plays a crucial role in supporting the Medical University of South Carolina's (MUSC) academic, research, and healthcare missions. Reporting to the leader of the clinical applications team, this position is responsible for a variety of operational, consultative, and collaborative functions within the Information Solutions department. The analyst will assist in the implementation and maintenance of clinical program supporting applications, ensuring that system updates are maintained and operational end users receive the necessary support. This role requires a proactive and reactive approach to support, all while maintaining a professional demeanor and demonstrating excellent customer service skills. In addition to providing support, the Application Analyst II will participate in team and project meetings, assist with the onboarding of new hires, and lead designated projects. The analyst will also be expected to provide input on intelligent solutions aimed at improving efficiency within the clinical applications. This position is integral to ensuring that the clinical applications function smoothly and effectively, thereby supporting the overall mission of MUSC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and laboratory experience, with a focus on clinical applications. They will be expected to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance the operational capabilities of the clinical applications team. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of service and support that MUSC is known for, and it offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful healthcare solutions.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and four years directly related experience (IS or clinical); or a bachelor's degree and two years directly related experience; or a Master's Degree in a related field (IS, clinical, or business).
