About the position

The Application Analyst II position at Washington University involves supporting enterprise applications across the University by performing application use case analysis, configuration, administration, and incident management. The role requires collaboration with university stakeholders to ensure applications meet business needs, as well as providing operational support and vendor management. The analyst will work closely with technical staff to align IT services with the University's research, teaching, and administrative objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with university stakeholders to understand key use-cases and requirements.
  • Perform moderately complex research, analyze technology, consult vendors, and apply best practices to design technical solutions.
  • Evaluate potential risks to the service and applications, develop mitigation plans and recommendations.
  • Advise end users on application best practices and functionality.
  • Respond to and resolve moderately complex incidents/requests submitted by customers.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to services, solutions, and applications.
  • Plan, review, coordinate, and socialize impact of vendor managed application upgrades.
  • Engage regularly with vendors to understand application product release roadmaps and functionality.
  • Support contract renewal and licensing activities as needed.
  • Validate, test, and implement solutions, new features and functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • Relevant experience of 2 years in a similar role.
