About the position

The Application Analyst IT position focuses on developing, analyzing, maintaining, and implementing the Epic EMR system software within a healthcare organization. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure system reliability and functionality, while also providing support and training for users.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and prioritize requests for system changes/enhancements, including requirements gathering.
  • Identify potential problem areas and recommend processes and/or system improvements.
  • Assure proper change control and documentation for upgrades and system modifications.
  • Effectively work as a team member to ensure quality of integration across system applications.
  • Investigate user problems and needs, identify their source, determine/implement solutions and document resolutions for future reference.
  • Document system and business requirements and create test plans and scripts for system and user acceptance testing.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and testing of application software, specifically those that interact with the Epic system.
  • Provide guidance and support for ongoing training and participate in the development and implementation of training materials.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field preferred.
  • 1 year experience in Healthcare Informatics preferred.
  • Prior experience or proficiency with EPIC application software is preferred.
  • Must achieve EPIC proficiency within the first six (6) months of hire date.
