About the position

The Application Architect - Cloud/Java/API role involves designing and developing enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions. This position focuses on ensuring high performance and reliability of solutions while leading technical project teams and establishing design standards. The architect will also analyze existing application environments and provide architectural guidance for strategic migrations.

Responsibilities

• Designing solutions based on organizational strategy
• Developing enterprise level application and custom integration solutions
• Defining application tiers, frameworks, and interfaces for complex projects
• Identifying specifications and planning, designing, and developing complex software solutions
• Leading technical project teams during design, development, testing, and implementation
• Resolving difficult support problems
• Researching and implementing industry trends in application architecture
• Establishing design and development standards and procedures
• Participating in program-level application architecture decisions
• Expanding knowledge of software tools, languages, and scripts
• Setting technical standards and providing project-level work product reviews
• Analyzing existing application environments for future strategic migration
• Providing architectural guidance for projects
• Accountable for quality, completeness, and timely delivery of projects
• Collaborating with teams across multiple disciplines.

Requirements

• 10+ years relevant Architecture experience
• 5+ years experience in architecting software solutions
• 5+ years experience in architecting solutions in GCP, AWS or similar cloud providers
• Proficient in multiple architectural modeling technologies
• Understanding of software design patterns (Micro Services), networks, and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP)
• Experience with Engineering technologies such as Java, Flutter, Couchbase, Web, NoSQL, Kubernetes, Relational Databases.
