About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Architect/Solution Engineer for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves defining architectural visions for complex solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders to create effective solutions. The architect will lead discussions on design, perform code reviews, and support the development teams in implementing solutions that meet non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define an architectural vision and architecture for large complex solutions.
• Describe the solution intent and associated operating environment, determining primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces.
• Ensure the solution is fit for purpose by evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions with stakeholders and vendors.
• Contribute to best practices, standard templates, and the architecture roadmap for defined domains.
• Create the architecture roadmap in support of the product roadmap.
• Lead the rapid shaping of high-level architecture based on emerging business requirements.
• Facilitate solution-driven discussions and lead the design of complex architectures.
• Work with Product Manager/Owner to plan and prioritize technology-focused backlog items.
• Clarify architecture for development teams and provide solution options for architectural impediments.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements are met.
• Support the Principal Engineer in selecting the technology stack for solutions.
• Educate team members on technology practices and best practices for innovative solutions.
• Design, develop, and integrate services in large-scale distributed enterprise infrastructures.
• Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, and test software applications.
