About the position

The Application Business Analyst plays a crucial role in evaluating and documenting requests for new automated workflows aimed at enhancing university efficiency. This position involves close collaboration with the Workflow Team Manager, team members, and various university offices to create comprehensive requirements documentation, conduct alpha testing, and assist with user acceptance testing, ensuring that the developed applications meet the specified needs of the university community.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates proper requirement gathering before development starts by regularly meeting with clients and subject matter experts to document all requirements in a process design document.
• Performs initial (alpha) testing of created workflow applications to ensure they meet requirements and reports any deviations, bugs, or issues to developers for resolution before user testing begins.
• Works closely with clients during the user acceptance testing phase by demonstrating the newly created application to increase client familiarity and setting up a Scope Change document for feedback.
• Creates final documents with the help of developers and clients, including technical documentation for future maintenance and user guides for general users, ensuring all documents are properly stored for future reference.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a related field.
• Experience in creating technical documentation.
• Experience as an Application Analyst working with clients and developers.
• Experience and familiarity with software testing.
• Good working knowledge as an application business analyst creating application requirements and involvement during the development life cycle.
