About the position

The Application Business Analyst at George Mason University plays a crucial role in evaluating and documenting requests for new automated workflows aimed at enhancing university efficiency. This position involves close collaboration with the Workflow Team Manager, team members, and various university offices to create comprehensive requirements documentation, conduct alpha testing, and assist in user acceptance testing, ensuring that the developed applications meet the needs of the university community.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates Proper Requirement Gathering Before Development Starts
  • Performs Initial (Alpha) Testing
  • Works Closely With Client During User Acceptance Testing Phase
  • Creates Final Documents With the Help of Developers and Clients Once the Project is Done

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in related field
  • Experience in creating technical documentations
  • Experience as an Application Analyst working with clients and developers
  • Experience and familiarity with software testing
  • Good working knowledge as an application business analyst creating application requirements and involvement during development life cycle

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Experience within the higher education industry
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner
  • Ability to create process design document based on client's need
