About the position

The Application Developer role at FOURANS LLC involves working with PowerBuilder and related technologies to support DECORUM projects. The position requires a strong background in programming, particularly with PowerBuilder Foundation Class libraries, and experience in Agile development environments. The developer will be responsible for troubleshooting existing applications, resolving routine tickets, and documenting tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and document program code to support DECORUM projects.
• Troubleshoot existing applications and resolve routine tickets.
• Present complicated business rules to third-party vendors and contractors using graphic tools.
• Conduct top-down testing through application interfaces coded in languages other than PowerBuilder, such as 4GL and PHP.

Requirements

• Four years of programming experience in PowerBuilder with PFC libraries.
• Experience with Agile teams and development methods (minimum 1 year).
• Experience with Informix or Oracle database and database tools.
• Familiarity with PowerBuilder source control tools, such as Microsoft VSS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with graphic tools for presenting business rules.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages like 4GL and PHP.
