About the position

The Application Development Analyst will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of applications within the organization. This position involves identifying, generating, implementing, and communicating functional tools that are essential for the business. The analyst will be responsible for collecting and defining business requirements, which will serve as the foundation for the design and development of applications. Participation in design options is a key aspect of this role, as the analyst will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the applications meet their needs and expectations. In addition to gathering requirements, the Application Development Analyst will generate reports that provide insights into application performance and usage. Identifying and analyzing problems is a critical part of the job, as the analyst will need to troubleshoot applications and maintain installed systems to ensure optimal performance. The role also requires the design of technical requirements for applications, which involves producing and maintaining comprehensive documentation that outlines the functionality and specifications of the applications. The analyst will perform feasibility analysis to assess the viability of proposed solutions and conduct application quality assurance to ensure that the applications meet the required standards. Participation in various testing phases, including user acceptance testing, unit testing, system testing, regression testing, and integration testing, is essential to validate the functionality and reliability of the applications. Furthermore, the analyst will be involved in integrating new applications or packages with the existing installed base and managing vendor fixes, collaborating in the design of file structures to enhance data management and accessibility.

Requirements

  • Experience with PerformancePlus/DSS or CSC Accelerator framework.
  • Proficiency in DB2 database management.
  • Experience in agent compensation within Life and Annuity insurance.
