About the position

Saint Mary's College invites you to join our Information Technology team to help transform the college's administrative applications as an Application Developer and Integrator. We are in the optimization phase of our finance and human resources transformation, and we will begin the planning phase of modernizing our student information systems soon. Saint Mary's collaborative, diverse, and inclusive community allows you to make an impact across the college. Utilizing best practices and standards, the Information Technology team delivers excellent service in a team-focused environment. The Application Developer and Integrator designs, implements, and supports technical solutions to support administrative and academic operations. This position interacts with enterprise-wide users to ensure ERP system modules function effectively, meet business requirements, and integrate with third-party solutions. The developer consults with users to discuss new system requirements and modifications, to research, recreate, and resolve production issues and/or apply fixes. This position performs technical assessments and modifies programs to support new data structures and must be proficient in relational database concepts and SQL, including support for inbound/outbound integrations. The developer works with others to test patches and upgrades to ensure operability.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements.
  • Devise and propose solutions and integrations for the ERP ecosystem and third-party solutions.
  • Apply, deploy, and test upgrades.
  • Ensure data and system integrity by managing security and data access.
  • Research and resolve technical and user issues with ERP and related solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Five or more years of programming/application development experience may be substituted for the requirement.)
  • Two years of experience in design, development/programming, implementation, and testing of technical solutions to support software applications and systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of PL/SQL programming.
  • Working knowledge of systems applications in an integrated database environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Ellucian Banner ERP systems.
  • Experience working with Oracle Fusion HCM, ERP, EPM, Student, and/or Financial Aid.
  • Experience working with Oracle databases.
  • Experience programming in Java and Perl.
  • Experience working with UNIX and/or Linux operating systems.
