About the position

The Nikko SRE team at SMBC Group is focused on building and maintaining cloud infrastructure for in-house financial business applications. The primary goal of this role is to ensure system availability, performance, and security while driving infrastructure automation and efficiency. The position involves close collaboration with application development teams to facilitate rapid deployment and operations, ensuring that financial applications run reliably and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for applications.
  • Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure repeatable infrastructure provisioning and system-wide redundancy.
  • Gather requirements from application teams to create technical specifications for cloud infrastructure and automated deployment processes.
  • Document the process for building the infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline, updating as needed.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and implement modifications to ensure stability and performance of the cloud environment.
  • Develop cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to meet application needs, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and redundancy.
  • Regularly monitor performance to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Manage and update the code repository and configuration files to enhance the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Collaborate with application teams and stakeholders to understand their requirements for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in team meetings to review priorities, assign tasks, and share experiences.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, networks, security, data management, and deployment tools.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Bash for coding automated scripts and infrastructure configurations.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and other development methodologies.
  • Understanding of application requirements to recommend optimal cloud solutions and deployment processes.
