About the position

The Application Developer - CAD Automation role at Goken America involves assisting clients in the development and customization of applications to enhance productivity and automate repetitive tasks. The position requires collaboration with a small team while working independently to address user issues and develop effective solutions. The successful candidate will focus on automation developments within the 3DExperience platform, utilizing various programming languages and tools to improve internal processes and ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Automation developments within 3DExperience for productivity enhancement.
• Power copy and Engineering Templates development in Catia.
• Code Development Activities in VBA, VB.NET, EKL, CAA or other needed applications.
• Coordinate with teams for day-to-day activities planning.
• Schedule design review and quality review.
• Participate in the identification and application of solutions.
• Help team to resolve problems.
• Define deployment methodologies and technical specifications.
• Design application modules that work together to produce desired product and ensure performance guidelines are met.
• Assist in the transition from application development to support.
• Ensure proper testing is completed.
• Work with product development teams and senior designers to develop architectural requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of experience with Catia V5.
• Experience with Catia V6 preferred.
• Hands-on experience in one or more applicable functional areas: Visual Basic (VB), EKL or CAA.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills for design, coordination, and testing of applications.
• 2 years' automotive experience desired.
