About the position

This role is part of Enterprise Engineering (EE), where we provide technical standards, tools, processes, training, and subject matter expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EE allows all Blue Origin business units to benefit from commonly used capabilities, hardware, and software and assists business units in identifying, selecting, and training engineers from both inside and outside the organization. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, you will work closely with engineers to develop Creo CAD software enhancements or user interfaces to improve the CAD workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance user experience through automation and interface applications with external software tools, Windchill, and/or within Creo.
  • Work independently and on a team.
  • Set priorities and manage own workload, manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and strong task ownership demonstrating pride in all work.

Requirements

  • 2-year AS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Working experience with Creo Pro/Toolkit, Creo Pro/Toolkit for 3D Drawings Development, and/or Creo ModeCHECK customization.
  • Practical user experience with Creo.
  • Familiarity with a scripting language such as JavaScript or Python.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in engineering and manufacturing industry.
  • Practical user design experience with Creo.
  • Familiarity with C# and the .NET and .NET Core frameworks.
  • Familiarity with an object-oriented structured programming language such as C++, or Java.
  • Experience using CI/CD pipelines, such as Gitflow workflow to manage application development and changes.
  • Experience with the REST API.
  • Experience working within a PLM application, such as Windchill.
