About the position

The Application Developer (DevOps) role is a remote position focused on designing and maintaining custom software solutions for internal stakeholders and external customers. The position requires a strong background in application development, particularly in cloud environments, and emphasizes the use of Human-Centered Design methodologies. The developer will be responsible for creating scalable applications and ensuring they meet operational needs while adhering to brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders, external customers, and users to design and maintain custom software solutions to meet their operational needs
• Work on interactive design projects that meet both user and operational objectives, while maintaining and supporting brand standards
• Evolve and help promote our Solution and Systems
• Practice and facilitate Human-Centered Design (Design Thinking) methodologies
• Develop highly available and highly scalable applications which will be used by both internal and external customers

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT professional services consulting or application development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Strong proficiency in C# and another programming language (e.g., React, JavaScript, Python, GO, C++)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Solid experience with GitOps principles and tools (e.g., Argo CD, Flux)
• Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with and application of DevSecOps principles and/or tools
• Exposure to standards like IRIG 106 (CH10, CH4, CH8, 1553, ARINC429), DARv3, TMATS, as well as SQL standards
