About the position

The Application Developer I is responsible for developing new system applications based on requests, which includes coding, testing, and completing required system documentation. This role also involves maintaining existing applications and staying updated on relevant hardware, development techniques, and programming languages used by the company. The position emphasizes collaboration and contribution to the company's goals while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops new applications as per specifications including application code, testing, and documentation.
• Maintains strict adherence to documentation standards, development techniques, and testing protocols.
• Maintains existing programs by coding alterations, testing corrections, and updating documentation as required.
• Participates in walk-throughs of program design, coding, and testing to minimize program problems.
• Keeps up-to-date on system development techniques and languages and applies them during development efforts.
• Informs designated individuals on project/work status.
• Focuses on developing technical skills in system application development.
• Supports the Information Technology team and other departments as needed.
• Takes on additional responsibilities as requested to accomplish department and company objectives.
• Actively participates and contributes to the company's goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to develop in at least 2 programming languages, preferably C# or .NET.
• Familiarity with or basic working knowledge of code versioning tools.
• Ability to proactively identify and solve problems and issues of all types.
• Possess analytical skills including proficiency with research tools and techniques.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time to meet varying deadlines under pressure.
• Responsible, reliable, dedicated, and accountable.
