About the position

The Application Developer II position at Fallon Health involves designing, developing, testing, delivering, and maintaining APIs while leveraging existing technical capabilities and cloud services. The role requires collaboration within and across development teams in a fast-paced environment, focusing on aligning new solutions with the organization's architectural principles and integration framework. Candidates should have extensive experience in Agile methodologies, cloud technologies, and API development, particularly within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop solutions that meet the business needs of the organization using modern tools and techniques.
  • Engage with business and IT partners to address needs, translating technical details into business terms and vice versa.
  • Foster strong working relationships across the organization to drive the development of integration capabilities and overall technology strategy.
  • Design solutions with the Integration team using cloud technologies and leading-edge technologies.
  • Create, maintain, and version APIs in the management layer.
  • Examine current transformation technologies such as XML, JSON, CSV, and SQL.
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of design, build, and testing experience in a large enterprise environment.
  • 7+ years of API or application development experience.
  • 7+ years of development experience in C#, .NET Framework 4.x.
  • 3+ years of working experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services (e.g., SQL Server, Azure Functions).
  • 3+ years of experience developing REST APIs using WEB API 2.0.
  • Proficient in Node.js and Angular-CLI platform, NPM Scripts.
  • Hands-on experience using and developing REST APIs using microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Swagger (API documentation) or similar technologies.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases such as MS SQL Server or similar technologies.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
