About the position

Walker Healthforce is seeking an Application Developer II for a healthcare client located in New Hudson, MI. This role involves developing and maintaining .NET applications, writing efficient source code, and collaborating with business analysts and quality assurance teams to meet user requirements. The position is contract to hire and offers a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, efficient source code and database functions
• Develop and maintain .Net applications in an object-oriented environment
• Perform verification, validation tests, and debugging
• Collaborate with BA and QA to meet user requirements
• Conduct code inspections, peer reviews, and testing
• Create and maintain technical documentation and turnover documents
• Archive documents and source code in version control system
• Oversee software release management processes
• Assess requirements, capacity issues, and cross-platform connectivity
• Ensure system requirements meet high-level specifications
• Continuously evaluate technology and suggest improvements
• Set up development and test environments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a major in computer science/information technology
• UI development experience
• Strong working knowledge of .NET Core Framework, Entity Framework, MVVM including Razor pages, view model binding
• 5 years' experience in development including designing, implementing complex technical solutions
• 5 years of experience in C#, VB, ASP.NET, SQL and development methodologies
• Strong working knowledge of Javascript, jquery, HTML, HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS, AJAX, JSON and XML
• Basic understanding of JAVA/J2EE
• Experience with Microsoft TFS
• Strong object-oriented design skills
• Experience with WebAPI, REST, SOAP, WCF, SoapUI and Postman
