About the position

As an Application Developer III, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise ETL feeds that are essential for various modern architecture projects. This position requires a strong background in Talend ETL, where you will be responsible for building file-sourced ETL feeds and ensuring data security, integrity, validity, and reliability at the enterprise level. You will collaborate closely with peers, management, business analysts, and the architecture team, contributing to the larger enterprise Integrations Community of Practice. Your hands-on knowledge of modern integration platform solutions will be vital in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the organization. In this role, you will engage in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, integration testing, deployment, and post-production support. You will also be expected to handle off-hours production deployment and issues, making flexibility in your schedule important. The position is on-site in Cleveland, OH, and operates Monday through Friday for 8 hours a day. Candidates selected for this role will undergo a two-step interview process, starting with a meeting with the department manager and followed by discussions with other team members. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and support enterprise ETL feeds.
  • Provide technical consulting to peers, management, and business analysts.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team and the enterprise Integrations Community of Practice.
  • Engage in the entire software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, integration testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Handle off-hours production deployment and issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with the entire software development lifecycle.
  • 3+ years of experience building file-sourced ETL feeds on Talend Open Data Studio.
  • 3+ years of experience developing ETL between formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, and Database.
  • Hands-on experience in Java programming.
  • Advanced understanding of XML, XSD, XSLT, WSDL, and WSDL versioning best practices.
  • Advanced understanding of Enterprise RDBMS, ER Diagrams, and developing SQL programs.
  • Experience using SOAP/RESTful APIs in Talend ETL.
  • Strong ability in designing reusable and highly performant solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience in using Jenkins and Git.
  • Knowledge in cloud services such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
