The Application Developer (Information Systems Analyst I, Opt A) position at the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) involves performing specialized applications programming to support the Department of Human Services (DHS). The role focuses on developing logic for tasks using Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES) data structures, completing program specifications, and providing technical assistance to junior staff. Responsibilities

• Develop logic to produce specific tasks using IES Eligibility Support Unit DB2 data structures.
• Complete program specifications and system documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive studies and analysis of user needs based on departmental policies.
• Provide technical assistance to lower-level professional staff on new or revised systems.
• Attend training to develop necessary technical skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge equivalent to four years of college in computer science or related fields.
• One year of professional experience in Application Services or related IT field.
• One year of experience refining and improving applications using Web Based platforms, midrange platforms, and Windows Operating Systems.
• One year of experience with relational database design and object-oriented analysis.
• One year of experience developing code with Elixir and using Informatica products.
• One year of experience conducting studies and analysis of user needs utilizing TANF, SNAP, and Medical Eligibility Systems.
