About the position

The Application Developer will support Michigan State University's Enterprise Research Administration application, Kuali Research, within the Sponsored Programs Administration unit. This role involves performing technical and analytical functions in the implementation of complex integrated system projects, focusing on research administration. The developer will engage in all project phases, including requirement analysis, application design, development, integration, and deployment, while adhering to defined standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical specifications and analyze business functions of integrated systems.
• Design and develop end-to-end business solutions in the Enterprise Java Platform.
• Resolve technical issues through debugging and research.
• Participate as a fully functioning member of medium/complex project teams.
• Engage in requirement analysis, business process review, application design, development, integration, data migration, testing, documentation, and deployment.

Requirements

• Knowledge equivalent to a four-year college degree.
• Three to five years of related work experience in complex technology projects using JEE and related technologies.
• Experience with Spring and Struts Frameworks, Node JS, web services, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle RDBMS.

• Experience in developing applications using Java, J2EE, Oracle, Mongo DB, and Node JS.
