About the position

The Application Developer position is crucial for supporting the firm's operations by handling escalated help tickets related to firm systems and existing custom applications. This role also involves minor custom development and bug fixes, ensuring that the firm's technology infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently. In this position, the developer will support firm-wide ET strategies and initiatives by identifying areas for improving the quality, performance, or functionality of firm systems and custom applications. Troubleshooting issues and bugs is a key responsibility, as is providing support, training, and demonstrations for firm systems and all custom-built applications. The developer will follow technology standards and document work and procedures for new processes, creating knowledge base articles to enhance the firm's operational efficiency. Providing quality service to customers is paramount, and the developer will assist with the support of applications, modules, and reports that meet customer and business needs. This role requires connecting with the business to troubleshoot existing issues and bugs, maintaining and expanding knowledge in the area of expertise through continuing education and participation in professional organizations. The developer will integrate new knowledge and skills into daily work and share insights with colleagues as appropriate, contributing to a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle escalated help tickets related to firm systems and existing custom applications.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience with web application technologies in a Microsoft-centric environment.
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio, .NET languages, HTML, SQL Server, Azure, and PowerShell.
  • Ability to work independently with technical competence.
  • Strong prioritization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide exceptional client service.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
