About the position

We are seeking a talented and experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to join our growing team at Highmark Health. As a Mid-Level Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex marketing automation solutions within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. This role requires close collaboration with marketing stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions that drive engagement and achieve business objectives. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our marketing capabilities and ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance. In this position, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing application enhancements, as well as providing general production support. You will work within the full system development life cycle, adhering to Highmark's SDLC standards. Your ability to collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members will be essential in understanding business requirements and delivering innovative solutions. You will also provide required technical support, including release implementations and on-call support when necessary. Your role will involve effective communication with team members, customers, partners, and management, assisting with or conducting technical walkthroughs, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions, and providing accurate documentation. You will actively participate in project teams in various roles, including Developer, Technical Lead, and Project Manager, based on your level of experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of internal Salesforce Marketing Cloud standards and best practices, as well as assist in the training and onboarding of junior developers.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, code, test, and implement application enhancements.
  • Provide general production support, meeting defined scope, target dates, and budgets with minimal defects.
  • Utilize and participate in the full system development life cycle per Highmark SDLC standards.
  • Collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements.
  • Provide required technical support, including release implementations and on-call support.
  • Participate on project teams in various roles, including Developer, Technical Lead, and Project Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, customers, partners, and management.
  • Assist with or conduct technical walkthroughs and report project status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or closely related field.
  • 3 years of experience as a developer.
  • Experience with Project Management tools.
  • Experience with databases.
  • Experience with multiple coding languages.
  • Strong command of SQL, AMPscript, SSJS, HTML, CSS, and API integration concepts (REST/SOAP).
  • 3+ years of experience developing and implementing solutions within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture, features, and functionalities.
  • Proven experience with AMPscript, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with API integrations and data management within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
