About the position

RedSky LLC is seeking a Senior Application Developer to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customer. This role involves implementing security and access controls for software, providing recommendations for application management, and developing SharePoint environments to enhance enterprise communication and collaboration. The position requires strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implement security and access controls across all maintained software to align with current requirements and future data-centric objectives.
• Provide recommendations to the Government to eliminate redundant capabilities or phase out applications based on evolving needs.
• Author, review, edit, publish, and maintain operational, administrative, and security documentation, including Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), in compliance with DoD policies and mandated timelines.
• Design, develop, and coordinate the implementation and support of SharePoint environments, including testing and quality assurance of SharePoint applications, workflows, and integration services.
• Develop standards and best practices for developing SharePoint and Office 365 applications.
• Document and implement standards, policies, and guidelines for the use of SharePoint and incorporate relevant elements into system design.
• Lead end-users and management in understanding and documenting functional business requirements and workflows, recommending improvements using SharePoint technologies.
• Develop plans to migrate existing electronic data and business practices to SharePoint.
• Assist in creating new applications and dashboard solutions for the Intranet and other SharePoint sites to improve enterprise communications and collaboration.
• Collaborate with vendors and technical staff to build and maintain a robust SharePoint environment.
• Evaluate and recommend products and services to meet business needs.
• Research and apply emerging information technology trends, products, and services in support of SharePoint solutions.
• Prepare system documentation, computer training materials, and user manuals.
• Support the review and analysis of new requests for SharePoint services to provide scope and level of effort information to program and project managers.
• Work independently or as part of a team to solve complex problems, deploy solutions, and assist with client/end user requirements.
• Provide guidance to customers during all phases of projects related to SharePoint development and maintenance.

• Application Developer experience of 3 years with MS; 8 years with BA/BS, 9 years with AA/AS; or 10 years with HS/GED
• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) certification
