Ent Credit Union is seeking a talented Application Developer Staff (Backend) to join our dynamic digital development teams. Our teams are not the typical development teams you might find in a financial institution; we are organized into autonomous, multidisciplinary agile teams that include experienced developers (frontend, mobile, and backend), designers, QA engineers, and product managers. Our mission is to improve the financial quality of life for our members, and we are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference through technology. In this role, you will be responsible for backend design and development using a variety of technologies including Java, Spring IoC/MVC/Boot/Security/Cloud/Stream, Containers, and Relational Databases. You will work within a cross-functional scrum team, collaborating with team members to complete features that enhance our members' experiences. Your contributions will include leading the development of complete systems, mentoring team members, and defining the overall architecture of the system. You will also be involved in converting functional specifications into efficient designs, conducting code reviews, and providing technical support for our in-house application infrastructure. As part of your responsibilities, you will participate in team meetings, provide proposed designs and solutions, and report on the status of activities and projects to IT management. You will also support the manager in planning and overseeing operational and technical activities, including workload and resource allocation. This position requires a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, secure web application design, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
