About the position

We are seeking a skilled Application Developer to join our dynamic team for an 8-month contract. The ideal candidate will contribute to both legacy .NET applications and modern Microsoft Power Platform solutions, bridging the gap between established systems and cutting-edge technologies. This role involves converting legacy applications to the Microsoft Power Platform and providing ongoing maintenance and support for existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in converting legacy .NET applications to the Microsoft Power Platform, ensuring seamless integration with Power Apps, Power Pages, and portals
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing .NET legacy applications
• Develop and implement robust API integration solutions
• Collaborate with DBAs to design efficient data models and optimize queries
• Follow and improve established development practices and SDLC methodologies
• Contribute to both development and testing efforts, including writing unit and feature tests

Requirements

• Valid Microsoft .NET development certification
• Microsoft Power Platform development certification
• Proficiency in VB.NET, Java/J2EE, and API development
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Portals)
• Expertise in SDLC, including waterfall and agile methodologies
• Ability to run and optimize SQL queries
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with various operating systems, databases, and application servers
• Knowledge of network protocols
• Additional relevant technical certifications
