We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Application Developer, WMS at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role is pivotal as we work under aggressive timelines and shifting priorities, focusing on redesign and continuous improvement to leverage native product functionality and industry-leading practices. The objective is to change and decommission unnecessary, inefficient, and non-value-added processes, procedures, designs, and practices. The Application Developer will be responsible for developing enhancements to our Korber (HighJump) WMS system and its corresponding interfaces to our Epicor ERP using tools such as WebWise Page Editor, Advantage Architect, and T-SQL. This position requires close collaboration with our Korber (HighJump) Team for technical direction and guidance, as well as operations functional guidance. The responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and designing complex end-to-end systems, interfaces, data, and processes that exhibit a high degree of variation. The developer will participate in gathering requirements and projects with functional leaders, focusing on simplification, process, and operational efficiencies. They will recommend possible solutions and new designs based on function/customer needs and the strategic roadmap. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the creation and recommendations for the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), developing new industry-leading designs, components, and specifications for complex solutions, and implementing projects while adhering to ITGC guidelines. The developer will also be responsible for creating technical product and process documentation, as well as education and training materials for business partners. Participation in peer code reviews through change management and problem management, in line with ITIL practices, is also a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analysis, and design of complex end-to-end systems, interfaces, data, and processes.
  • Participate in gathering requirements and projects with functional leaders focusing on simplification and operational efficiencies.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or related technology field.
  • 10 or more years' experience in IT.
  • 5+ years of T-SQL experience.
  • 5+ years of Korber (HighJump) development experience.
  • Strong communication skills to understand business requirements and translate them into sustainable designs.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies, with a desire to coach and assist team members.
