About the position

The Application Developer at Teva Pharmaceuticals is responsible for performing application development and programming in RPG for the company's ERP system on the IBM iSeries. This role involves collaborating with various business areas to understand their needs, creating or modifying software applications, and ensuring that changes are controlled and tested. The developer will also support end users, analyze system issues, and develop innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform application development/programming in RPG for the ERP system on the IBM iSeries.
• Create or modify software applications to meet business demands.
• Support end users with issues related to the iSeries/IBMi applications.
• Analyze and repair system software for reported malfunctions.
• Assist in the automated loading of large amounts of data for business requirements.
• Develop innovative solutions within and across the platform.
• Ensure that changes to the platform are controlled, tested, and implemented with necessary approvals.
• Establish meaningful relationships with key clients and sponsors.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in an IT role.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• In-depth knowledge of IBM iSeries servers and operating system.
• Proficiency in RPG, CL, and SQL programming languages.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Rocket's Aldon Windows.
• Experience with JavaScript and SQL Server.
