About the position

The Cloud/Software Developer, Journeyman position at Sev1Tech is a full-time, remote role focused on supporting the Navy PEO MLB's modernization efforts. The developer will work as part of an Agile/DevSecOps team to decompose legacy applications into containerized solutions, collaborating closely with team members and customers to deliver solutions through short sprint cycles. The role requires minimal supervision and excellent communication skills.

• Support the Navy PEO MLB's modernization effort as part of an Agile/DevSecOps team.
• Decompose legacy applications into containerized solutions.
• Work closely with team members and customers to demo and deliver solutions via short sprint cycles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent industry experience in Software Development.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated federal or commercial cloud development experience in AWS.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Perl, and other scripting languages.
• Experience with applications/frameworks/tools including Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, Ansible, Nexus, SonarQube, Twistlock, Jira, Confluence, Mural, Maven, Junit, Selenium, Corestack, Kubediff/Terradiff.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
