About the position

The Application Developer at TIAA is responsible for monitoring the analysis, programming, and configuration of IT systems software. This role involves developing complex software components, collaborating with other developers, and liaising with various business units to ensure effective migration of applications to the cloud. The developer will also maintain portal applications, fix bugs, and document technical workflows to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the analysis, programming, and configuration of IT systems software.
• Develop complex software components and collaborate with developers on software development methods.
• Liaise with Finance, Business, and Application Analysts to generate technical designs based on functional requirements.
• Migrate applications from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Maintain and support day-to-day activities related to Portal Applications.
• Fix bugs and develop code for enhancements in portal applications.
• Act as Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and escalation point for design issues.
• Document current state technical workflows and design end-to-end strategic workflows.
• Prepare and coordinate integration and user acceptance testing.
• Assist Project Manager and Cloud Development Manager with technical estimations for deployment milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years of experience in application development.
