About the position

ManTech is seeking a motivated Application Developer to join our team, focusing on developing applications and implementing security controls for Federal information systems. The role requires on-site work at the Clarksburg, WV site and involves collaboration with team members and customers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop applications using traditional SQL based database management systems (Postgres).
  • Unit testing and automated test development using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, SoapUI, Postman.
  • Debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Utilize HTML, CSS, Javascript and its frameworks (Dojo, JQuery, Node).
  • Write reusable Java Libraries.
  • Work with Relational databases (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
  • Develop code within Linux Systems.
  • Implement security controls required by Federal information systems.
  • Work with GIT, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Centos Linux, Python.
  • Develop applications using Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Understand and leverage common software architectural styles and patterns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field AND 2 or more years directly related experience preferred.
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience working with Java on an enterprise scale.
  • Experience in requirement analysis; software design, development, integration, bug fixing, and testing.
  • Proficiency in Java (Spring-boot), node, Javascript, Angular.
  • Experience in RESTful API design and development.
  • Knowledge of Java and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
  • Experience in test case development; automated testing with SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, Groovy, etc.
  • Experience in developing applications using traditional SQL based database management systems (Postgres).
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS Technologies.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services GovCloud, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.), CloudFormation, Data Analytics Tools (powerBI, Quicksight, Jasper).
  • Experience with Docker, Eclipse IDE, Elastic Stack (Elastic search, Kabana, Logstash, Beats).
  • Team player willing to work under Senior Software Engineers.
