About the position

The position involves participating in project planning and development processes, assisting in the creation of work plans, and managing workflows to meet project timelines. The role requires compliance with architecture processes and quality standards, as well as designing components for small solutions and developing technical specifications for applications. The individual will also be responsible for data extraction, transformation, and loading into information management systems, while ensuring ongoing maintenance and support for applications.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the project planning process with team members, clients, and business analysts.
  • Assists in the development of work plan timelines.
  • Manages workflows to meet sub-project timeframes.
  • Participates in the identification of system requirements.
  • Complies with architecture processes, principles, policies, and standards.
  • Complies with quality standards and procedures.
  • Designs components for small solutions.
  • Develops technical specifications for applications.
  • Makes recommendations for the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
  • Extracts data from multiple sources.
  • May design and implement data transformations.
  • May load transformed data into information management systems.
  • Utilizes current data guidelines.
  • Utilizes middleware tools for designing and developing solutions when required.
  • Develops or modifies application components using disciplined software development processes.
  • Conducts unit testing to ensure applications meet specifications.
  • Participates in integration testing.
  • Documents new or modified components and testing activities/results.
  • Provides ongoing maintenance of applications.
  • May analyze existing applications to identify and document opportunities for improvements.
  • Makes components production ready by moving them to libraries and completing version control documents.
  • Assists in providing Tier II (application) support.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

  • Experience in project planning and management.
  • Knowledge of architecture processes and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in designing application components and developing technical specifications.
  • Experience with data extraction and transformation processes.
  • Familiarity with middleware tools for application development.
  • Ability to conduct unit and integration testing.
  • Strong documentation skills for components and testing activities.
