About the position

The Application Developer at Prospect Medical Holdings is responsible for creating and modifying software solutions to address various business challenges. This role involves analyzing, designing, and developing applications using Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio, ensuring high reliability and performance. The developer will also assist users during system implementation and modifications, while maintaining documentation and adhering to established architectural designs.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and modifies application programs to ensure they are bug-free, efficient, accurate, and maintainable.
  • Maintains or exceeds service level agreements (SLAs) for quality, quantity, and communication measures.
  • Documents work in the work management system and knowledge management systems.
  • Assists in gathering non-technical requirements to contribute to technical requirements and designs.
  • Participates in design review presentations for technical stakeholders prior to development.
  • Contributes to root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepares deployment routines in non-production environments for production deployment handoff.
  • Coordinates with team lead to ensure projects and tasks are completed on schedule and budget.
  • Alerts team lead of changes to scope due to additional requirements or changes to existing requirements.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to ensure best practices are met.
  • Performs on-call duties to resolve production issues as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or three years of programming/systems analysis experience.
  • Minimum three years of programming development experience using designated platform products and tools.
  • Expert development skills in Visual Studio (C#), MS SQL (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
  • Proficient with ASP.NET Web Forms, WCF, MVC, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and web APIs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage self effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using TFS for Source Code Control and Work Item Management.
  • Experience in project management processes and tools.
  • Intermediate understanding of database performance tuning.
  • Experience developing applications in the Healthcare industry.
