About the position

The Application Developer II will join the Issuer Services Engineering team, focusing on a Ginnie Mae-funded project. This role encompasses the design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of applications to meet user requirements, along with the support, maintenance, and enhancement of existing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, and maintain microservices using Java/Spring Boot and Node.js.
  • Design and create RESTful web services using Spring/JAX-RS.
  • Utilize Angular, NgRx, RxJS, and micro-frontend frameworks in front-end development.
  • Develop microservices leveraging AWS Cloud Services.
  • Participate in 3-tier/n-tier cloud computing and microservices architecture.
  • Support WebLogic Portal and WebCenter ADF Framework, including remote portlet configurations.
  • Use HTML, Ajax, jQuery, and JavaScript for front-end development.
  • Employ SVN/GIT or other equivalent source control systems.
  • Work with Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL (optional but preferred).
  • Configure Web service security policies and ensure adherence to secure coding practices.
  • Participate in complex integration projects and contribute to innovative technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with client management to gather and specify complex business requirements.
  • Lead application software development services or provide technical support for moderately complex tasks.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure on-time and correct system modification turnovers, and contribute to the team’s goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 to 7 years of hands-on software development experience with WebLogic Portal and J2EE technologies.
  • Experience with microservices using Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, and front-end frameworks such as Angular.
  • 3+ years of experience with API concepts and technologies like REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, GraphQL, and Swagger.
  • Experience in Agile development with CI/CD pipelines.
  • AWS Developer Certification and experience in AWS cloud development.
  • Experience with secure coding practices and knowledge of SOA suite middleware.
  • Financial or securities industry experience is a plus.

  • Experience with PL/SQL.
