About the position

Herdt Consulting, Inc. is seeking skilled candidates at the journeyman and senior levels to support an SAP sustainment phase for the U.S. Navy. The primary mission of this role is to continue expanding and improving functionality for lifecycle management, stabilization, optimization, and audit readiness. The developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint sites, workflows, and applications using various programming languages and frameworks including Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript (JS), Python, and Angular. A strong knowledge of web development best practices, security standards, and user interface design is essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, planning, design, analysis, and developing complex software models and applications across multiple hardware and software platforms. Additionally, candidates should have experience in multiple SAP disciplines and post-production support, as well as proficiency in HTML, CSS, JS, and Python. Cross-module experience is highly desired, along with strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office software suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess, or be eligible to receive, a U.S. DoD Secret-level Security Clearance. This position is fully remote with no travel expectations, allowing for a flexible work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, workflows, and applications.
  • Utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and Angular frameworks in development tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to web development best practices and security standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance functionality for lifecycle management and audit readiness.
  • Provide post-production support across multiple SAP disciplines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, planning, design, analysis, and developing complex software models and applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in multiple SAP disciplines and post-production support.
  • 3+ years of experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for U.S. DoD Secret-level Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Systems.
  • Cross-module experience in SAP.
