About the position

The Application Developer at Nuveen Services, LLC is responsible for monitoring the analysis, programming, and configuration of IT systems software. This role involves developing complex software components, collaborating with other developers, and liaising with various teams to migrate applications from on-premises to cloud environments. The developer will also maintain portal applications, fix bugs, and enhance existing code while acting as a technical subject matter expert.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the analysis, programming, and configuration of information technology systems software.
• Develop complex software components and collaborate with developers on software development methods.
• Liaise with Finance, Business, and Application Analysts to generate technical designs based on functional requirements.
• Migrate applications from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Maintain and support business and operation teams related to Portal Applications.
• Fix bugs and develop code for new enhancements for portal applications.
• Act as Technical Subject Matter Expert and escalation point for design issues.
• Document current state technical workflows and design end-to-end strategic workflows.
• Prepare and coordinate integration and user acceptance testing.
• Build and deploy activities across multiple applications to resolve issues promptly.
• Assist Project Manager and Cloud Development Manager with technical estimations for deployment milestones.

Requirements

• Experience in software development and programming.
• Strong knowledge of cloud migration processes.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance and Business Analysts.
• Proficiency in documenting technical workflows and designs.
• Experience in user acceptance testing and integration.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with portal applications and their maintenance.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of various programming languages and frameworks.
